Studio One's drag-and-drop workflow is fast, and its Lyrics-friendly notation tools are aimed at scores. For the singer in the room, LyricsRunnerVST provides what they actually need: large scrolling lyrics that track the transport.

Install it in Studio One

Plugin folder: Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 — macOS: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3

  1. 1Install LyricsRunnerVST.
  2. 2In Studio One open Studio One → Options/Preferences → Locations → VST Plug-ins.
  3. 3Confirm the VST3 folder is listed, then click Reset Blocklist / Scan.
  4. 4LyricsRunnerVST appears in the browser under Effects.

The Studio One vocal-recording workflow

Step 1

Drag it onto the vocal track

From the Effects browser, drag LyricsRunnerVST onto the vocal channel. Signal passes through unchanged.

Step 2

Paste lyrics and set start

Paste the sheet and align the first line to the timeline position where the vocal starts.

Comp faster

With the lyric always visible, Studio One's takes and layers stay organised — you know instantly which line each take covers.

Step 4

Second display for the booth

Float the window and move it to the screen the vocalist can see.

Does it work in Studio One Artist?

Yes, as long as third-party VST3 support is enabled in your Artist installation.

Studio One blocklisted the plugin — what do I do?

Go to Preferences → Locations → VST Plug-ins and click Reset Blocklist, then rescan.

Is this the same as Studio One's lyrics feature?

No. Studio One's lyrics live in notation; LyricsRunnerVST is a large, self-scrolling reading display for the performer.
