Scrolling lyrics insideMixcraft

Mixcraft is where a lot of singers record their very first serious vocal, usually at home, usually alone. LyricsRunnerVST removes the most annoying part of that: holding the whole song in your head while also running the session.

Install it in Mixcraft

Plugin folder: Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

  1. 1Install LyricsRunnerVST and close Mixcraft.
  2. 2Reopen Mixcraft and go to File → Preferences → Plug-ins.
  3. 3Make sure the VST3 folder is in the plugin paths, then rescan.
  4. 4LyricsRunnerVST appears in the effects list for any track.

Good to know

  • Windows only, matching Mixcraft availability.

The Mixcraft vocal-recording workflow

Step 1

Add it to the vocal track

Open the track's effects and add LyricsRunnerVST. It does not change your audio, so it is safe anywhere in the chain.

Step 2

Paste your lyrics

Paste the sheet and bump the font up until you can read it from wherever you stand to sing.

Step 3

Mark where singing starts

Move the playhead to the first word and set the start marker. Now the words move with the song instead of with a stopwatch.

Step 4

Go full screen and sing

Maximise the window on your monitor, hit record, and do a full pass without reaching for your phone.

Mixcraft FAQ

Does LyricsRunnerVST work with Mixcraft?

Yes. It loads as a VST3 effect on any Mixcraft track and follows the project timeline.

Mixcraft did not find the plugin.

In File → Preferences → Plug-ins, confirm C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 is in the scan paths and rescan, then restart Mixcraft.

I only have one screen — is that a problem?

Not at all. Run the plugin window full screen while you record; most home setups work exactly like that.
