Troubleshooting

The lyrics window doesn't reopen where I left it

Why does the lyrics window move back to the main screen?

Window position is stored inside the DAW project, so it only persists if the project was saved after you moved the window. It also resets when the second display is disconnected or renumbered, because the coordinates it was saved at no longer exist.

Make it stick

  1. 1Move and size the window exactly as you want it.
  2. 2Save the project — this is the step people skip.
  3. 3Save it as a template if every session should start that way.
  4. 4Keep the display arrangement consistent between sessions.

Studios with changing rigs

If displays are plugged and unplugged regularly, build the template around the screen that is always present and drag the prompter across at the start of the session. It takes two seconds and avoids chasing coordinates that keep changing.

Questions people ask

Are the lyrics saved too?

Yes — the sheet, markers and display settings are stored in the project alongside the window position.

Can I set a house default?

Save a DAW template with the plugin already inserted and configured, and every new session inherits it.
