How do I import lyrics from a text file or a document into Logic Pro?
Copy the lyrics from the document and paste them straight into the LyricsRunnerVST window inside Logic Pro. Blank lines are read as section breaks, so verses and choruses stay separated. The whole sheet is then saved inside the Logic Pro project rather than as a loose file.
Formatting is the only thing worth thinking about. Strip out chord charts, section numbering and stage directions before pasting, unless you want the singer reading them at speed.
Keep one lyric line per visual line. If the writer wrapped long lines in a word processor, the wraps come with the text and the pacing will feel wrong even though the timing is right.
Because the sheet lives inside the Logic Pro project, there is no version confusion later. The lyrics that were sung are the lyrics stored with the session.
14 days free, no card required. Install the VST3, paste a lyric sheet, and record one take start to finish before you decide.
Copy the text out of the PDF first. PDF copy often adds stray line breaks, so scan the pasted sheet before the session rather than during it.
Text is pasted as-is, so scripts your system renders will display. Check a line or two before the singer arrives.
