LyricsRunnerVST not showing up in LUNA

Why doesn't LUNA see the plugin after I installed it?

LUNA only reads the VST3 folder when it starts up or when you trigger a rescan. Quit LUNA completely, reopen it, then rescan plugins. If it still does not appear, the installer put the file somewhere LUNA is not looking — check the folder path below.

Plugin folder: macOS: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 — Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

Almost every "missing plugin" report comes down to a scan that never ran. Installing while the DAW is open is the usual culprit — the host has already built its plugin list for that session and will not go back for more.

The second possibility is a security prompt that was dismissed. On macOS in particular, a first-run block can leave the file on disk but unusable, which looks identical to a failed install from inside the host.

Step by step

  1. 1Quit LUNA entirely, not just the project window.
  2. 2Confirm the LyricsRunnerVST.vst3 file exists in: macOS: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 — Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  3. 3Reopen LUNA — it scans plugin folders on launch.
  4. 4Open the insert slot on a track and look under VST3.
  5. 5If it is missing, check LUNA → Settings → Plug-ins and rescan.
  6. 6If it still does not appear, reinstall with LUNA closed and approve any security prompt your system shows.

Does LUNA need a specific plugin format?

LyricsRunnerVST ships as a 64-bit VST3, which is the format LUNA uses for third-party plugins on current versions.

I see it in the folder but LUNA skips it.

That is normally a blocklist entry from an interrupted first scan. Clear the plugin blocklist or cache in LUNA and rescan.
